Abstract

Several questions regarding research on nursing care that worry clinical nurses, tutors and researchers are identified. Having in mind the construction of the discipline, questions concerning nursing care are raised. A pathway is proposed, including framework clarification towards the construction of a theoretical matrix, that will justify the identification of areas of research. Research translation into practice is also mentioned.
